My gardens are getting a bit of a cleanup this weekend. But not a full one. My thoughts are that anything that you think "valuable insects" are still over wintering in then leave those stalks. The mushy hosta stuff .. I take out .. have had problems with molds etc when left alone. Hope this helps! And thanks for using the Forum Laura!! Yippee! :)
Hi all! I've been reading that we should wait to clean out our gardens (link below). Problem is, some plants are starting to sprout up through the dead material and plants like grasses are difficult to cut back once the new growth comes up. What are you doing?
